On the day you audition, please bring the Application Sheet (which can be downloaded below), a vocal track on CD or mp3 player, and an updated headshot of yourself. If you know of any conflicts with the rehearsal schedule beforehand, please list them on your application, or let us know at your earliest convenience. There is a comment box on the Calendar Page to make contacting us easier.
Upon entering the auditorium, you will be asked to sign in. Once we call your name, you will make your way to the stage and present 16-32 bars (or about 45 seconds) of a song of your choice. A cappella singing or using an accompaniment track on CD/iPod are both acceptable options, using a track is strongly suggested.
After you sing, we may ask you to read a few scenes with the other actors that are auditioning. You might even have to learn some choreography, so be ready to dance!
To find out more about our summer shows, you can follow the links below to Music Theatre International's Audition Central. This website will provide you with specific character breakdowns, musical selections, and pages of dialogue from the show. You can use these resources to determine the parts you would like to be considered for as well as to familiarize yourselves with the shows.
REMEMBER: You do NOT have to sing something from the show for your audition!

A day or two after you audition, you will receive a call from the camp counselors who will inform you of the role you have been selected for. Make sure you let us know how you want to be contacted on your application!
What's the next step?
A script read through will be held the week following auditions. Scripts will be passed out at this time and we'll talk about the summer and plans for the summer's cabaret night. After the script read through, actors should spend the following month becoming familiar with all of the songs from their show and memorizing their lines. It would be super if all actors can be as close to off-script by the beginning of the rehearsals in July.
